Practice Structure
Exalta Geriatric Psychiatry & Wellness is a solo-private practice offering personalized, high-quality psychiatric care for older adults. The practice operates on a direct-pay (cash-based) model, allowing for extended appointment times, individualized treatment planning, and a focus on meaningful patient–physician relationships without the constraints of insurance.
Services are provided primarily via secure tele-health or in-person appointments, with a limited weekly schedule designed to ensure attentive care.
We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid, and patients are responsible for all fees at the time of service.
Philosophy of Care
Our care is grounded in a patient-centered philosophy that honors the complexity of aging. Treatment emphasizes careful listening, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s values, life experiences, and goals. A comprehensive approach integrates biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors, with particular attention to cognitive health, medical comorbidities, and life transitions. The focus is on providing clear guidance, minimizing unnecessary medications, and supporting patients and families with compassion, dignity, and clinical excellence.
Who We Serve
We serve adults aged 55 and up who are seeking thoughtful, individualized mental health care, including those navigating depression, anxiety, cognitive changes, and life transitions. The practice is particularly well-suited for patients and families who value longer visits, a collaborative approach, and care that is not rushed.
Our tele-health services are available only to patients who are physically located in the state of Texas at the time of their visit. Patients must disclose their physical location prior to each telehealth session. If a patient is outside Texas, the appointment may need to be rescheduled or converted to an in-person visit if clinically appropriate.
We also offer in-person appointments at our Sugar Land office.
